Bookings and accommodation

Data: first name and surname, e-mail, phone, dates of stay, number of guests, selected room and booking note.
Purpose and legal basis: handling your booking, accommodation and communication with you – performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
During your stay we keep a guest register and report the stay of foreign nationals to the Foreign Police; for this we need data from your identity document – a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, the Local Fees Act and the Act on the Residence of Foreign Nationals).
Accounting and tax documents – a legal obligation; we keep them for the period required by law (10 years for VAT documents). The guest register is kept for 6 years from the last entry. Other booking data is kept for as long as necessary to handle the stay and any claims arising from it.

Enquiries by e-mail, phone and chat

When you write to us or call us, we use your data only to reply and, where applicable, to make a booking (legitimate interest, or steps prior to entering into a contract).

The chat assistant on the website answers using artificial intelligence. The text you type into the chat is processed by the model provider Anthropic (USA). Please do not enter sensitive data in the chat.

Who processes data on our behalf

Directo – the booking system in which we record bookings and which sends confirmation e-mails. Operator: Jan Beskyba, IČO (company ID) 03786323. It also runs this website and processes data only according to our instructions.
Anthropic, PBC – processing of enquiries from the chat on the website (see above).
Cloudflare, Inc. – the network through which the website is delivered and which protects it against attacks; it processes technical connection data (IP address, browser).
We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

Cookies and other technologies on the website

In your browser's storage (localStorage) the website only remembers that you have closed the cookie bar. We do not use any analytics or advertising tools.
We load the library that controls the page from cdn.jsdelivr.net and the language flag icons from flagcdn.com; your browser connects to these servers, which can see your IP address.
The map on the Contact page is embedded from Google Maps; when it is displayed, Google may use its own cookies in accordance with its privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
Some of these services (Google, Cloudflare, Anthropic) may also process data outside the EU, particularly in the USA; transfers are based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) or standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Just write to us at penzion-afrika@seznam.cz.

If you believe that we are not handling your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz).
